- Is Capitol Punishment Biblical? (00:14:21)
Because of the heinous crime committed against Charlie Kirk, cold blooded murder, many people are divided on whether his murderer should receive the death penalty. Utah is a state that upholds capital punishment for certain crimes. According to God, there are actually two reasons for the death penalty The first reason is because man is God’s highest creation, and we are an image bearer of God (Genesis 1:26). To murder a person, who is made in the image of God, is in essence to slap God in the face, dishonor, and sin directly against God. - Where Darkness Resides (00:15:10)
There is an interesting verse in the Old Testament that lets us know what darkness entails. There are dark places on the earth that attract evil and sin such as dimly lit nightclubs, dark alley ways, underground tunnels and caves torturing hostages, and criminals commit more acts of violence at night. In other words, many physically dark places are full of the habitations of ruthlessness, violence, cruel hatred, and destruction. I believe there are some scriptures that indicate God will not mourn for everyone that enters hell. In a general sense, He is grieved to see any of His creation going to hell. He gave His life on the cross and paid the price for our sins so that no one has to go there, if they wold only repent. However, there are some people who are so full of wickedness, I believe the scripture also indicates that He will not shed a tear as they are cast into hell. - Why Does God Allow Evil? (00:22:55)
Evil exists in the world because Satan is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Jesus told us in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The killing, stealing and destroying are not from God, but from Satan. Another reason for the rampant evil in the world is that God's people don't pray. Jesus told us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.” Why would He tell us to pray for His will to be done if it just happens automatically? Does Hell have different levels or degrees of punishment? Yes. Jesus tells us there are different degrees of punishment for people in hell. This makes sense because even here on earth prison sentences vary based on the severity of the crime, a criminal’s history, and the laws set forth by the authorities. The Creator of the Universe has prepared two locations where human beings will exist after they die. In Matthew 25:46, Jesus said, “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” There is only Heaven or hell. I have shared many times about the shark attack I miraculously walked away from when I was just 17 years old. This event marked the culmination of a defiant season in my youth. I share this to give people a glimpse of who I was in my younger days because I believe there are some lessons that can be learned from my disobedience. - The Shock Of Seeing Hell (00:15:56)
God gave me a vision of hell. When I was traveling back from hell, I had no fear whatsoever. I felt an overwhelming sense of love, peace and safety in the presence of Jesus. During this vision, I was outside my physical body and in my spirit body. As we returned home, I viewed my body lying on the floor. Jesus then placed me back in my physical body. The moment I entered it, the memories of hell flooded my mind with absolute terror. I started screaming, lying there on the living room floor in a traumatized state. Hell is far worse than any horror you could experience or imagine on earth. My cries were loud enough to reach the bedroom and woke up my wife from a deep sleep.
