The new year is the perfect time for new beginnings. But before we can move forward with God, we must obey this verse in Philippians 3:13-14:
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
If you are under condemnation, depressed and discouraged about past sin, it’s like saying, “the blood of Jesus isn’t enough to give me a fresh start.”
Listen as Bill and Annette share encouragement for the new year.

Why Did God Show Me Hell? (00:11:30)
Some say, "Bill, why would God take you to hell, and not others who might get saved by seeing it?"
First of all, I wasn't condemned to hell. I was already saved, I had been a born again Christian for 28 years at that point. This was a vision God gave me in order to let people know there is an eternal hell, since many churches won't teach about hell.
In addition, God wouldn't show a person hell to save them. We must be saved by grace through faith, and not by sight. There would be no faith required to get saved if you could see first where you will go if you don’t repent. To see it you would now know the Bible is true, and hell exists. God requires faith in believing, and seeing hell would void the need for faith.

Confused About Sin? (00:09:31)
The world is confused about sin. However, the Bible instructs the Christian to clearly discern what is right and wrong, what is good and what is evil, and what is considered sin. In addition, if we are truly born again, we have a new heart and spirit within us making us feel guilty when we sin!
Did you know that only one out of every seven—or about 14%—of self-described Christians have a core theology of sin that is biblically accurate?
Learn more on the topic of sin, as explained in the Bible, in today's podcast with Bill and Annette.

Sharing Hell On A Plane (00:11:05)
We were flying back to California after a ministry trip and were seated next to a nicely dressed woman. We began talking and in the conversation she mentioned she was a nurse. She was heading to a nurse’s conference in Los Angeles.
As we continued conversation, she asked what I do. I told her we teach the Bible. She then asked, what specifically do we teach. I told her we teach on who goes to heaven and who goes to hell.

Where Is Your Faith? (00:23:26)
Did you know the Bible says that faith is a requirement? For the Christian, learning to walk by faith is critical to growth and revelation. While living in these last days, we must especially understand how to develop and exercise our faith in God’s Word when faced with the variety of trials and situations we all encounter throughout our lives.
We need faith to forgive others, faith to trust God for wisdom and direction, faith for healing, faith for our finances, faith for navigating relationships, and faith to overcome any obstacle. We have each been given the same amount or same measure of faith. However, it is up to us to develop it.

What To Do Under Pressure (00:12:38)
Have you ever been under so much pressure you feel completely overwhelmed? Trials and circumstances can take a toll on us if we allow them to. It's how we respond to difficulties that makes the difference because trials can actually bring out the best in us...or the worst.
When we are under pressure or facing challenges, one of the first things to determine is whether the trial was caused from our poor decisions, from the devil, or was it a test from God.
Listen as Bill and Annette focus on trials caused by our poor decisions and our lack of knowledge in this podcast episode.

What Defines A Wicked Person? (00:12:58)
There are many people who think the wicked are those like the Hitler’s of the world, the murderers, and the rapists. These people are indeed wicked however, in God’s eyes, all who reject Jesus Christ are considered wicked, or unrighteous.
A truly righteous person (or Christian) obeys God’s commands. They have a heart that wants to obey God. Even when they sin, they repent and ask God’s forgiveness.
Listen as Bill and Annette give the biblical definition of a wicked person...and share how all have been given the opportunity to be made righteous.

No Peace In Hell (00:11:04)
Most of us experience some level of peace in this life. In fact, people will go to great lengths trying to find peace. But when a person dies without Jesus Christ, they will exist in a place called hell. Hell is absent of all peace and it’s for all eternity.
To have no peace is to have no rest. After a short time, a person becomes irritable and frustrated. With no peace, a person’s mind is tormented. In hell, there is never any rest from the screams, the fear, the thirst, the lack of breath, the heat, the isolation from people, and the hopelessness.
Listen as Bill and Annette discuss the reality of an existence absent of peace.

The Different Locations of Hell (00:25:38)
There are ten different words, or phrases used to represent hell, and each has their separate meaning and place. Sheol, Hades, and the Pit all represent the place where people exist currently.
Gehenna, the Lake of Fire, and outer darkness represent the future hell where people will go after the Great White Throne Judgment Day. Satan and most likely his demons with him are cast into the lake of fire as it says in Revelation.
The words Abyss, Abyssos, Bottomless Pit, and Tartarus each represent where demons are currently assigned, each area perhaps having certain fallen angels and demons.
Understand more about these words and places which refer to hell, as Bill and Annette biblically explain each.

Do You Have An Escape Mentality? (00:13:30)
Have you ever been accused of having an escape mentality because you believe in a pre-tribulation rapture? Perhaps you’ve experienced silence from other people when the conversation comes up. Others may even look at you like you are crazy.
First, the belief in the rapture, and the timing of it is never cause to get angry, or have arguments with others. We have found that most Christians who believe in a pre-tribulation rapture feel an urgency to win souls. We want to make every day count to live as a faithful witness for Jesus with this short remaining time!
Listen as Bill and Annette discuss the rapture of the church and its anticipated timing as detailed in the Bible.

The Bank Vault Miracle (00:08:32)
I believe this true account will be an encouragement to you, especially if you are going through financial hardship. Simply obeying God will invite His blessings and provision into our lives. Ask Him for help and obey whatever He instructs you to do in His word, and you will receive direction for provision and help to overcome any challenge.
You may be a brand new Christian saved only a few days ago but God doesn’t reward us by time. He rewards by obedience. The Bible also says He is no respecter of persons. That means He shows no favoritism. Demonstrate that you trust in what He says in His word. The Lord is good and He is faithful. He delights in providing for His children.
Listen as Bill and Annette share this true story of God's provision.

Is The Old Testament Relevant For Today? (00:11:39)
The Old Testament is filled with biblical prophecy, historical facts, and archaeological and scientific discoveries, along with Israel’s history and its importance to God. It displays God’s holiness, power, judgment, His character and His ways. The foundation for government, waging war, and moral law is also given in the Old Testament.
Many people believe we no longer need to read or observe the Old Testament since Christians live under the New Testament, however there is nothing to support this belief. In fact, Jesus quoted the Old Testament 28 times, and it is quoted 53 times by Matthew Mark, Luke, John, John the Baptist, Paul and Peter. The new didn’t start until after Jesus' death and resurrection so do we ignore all that Jesus said prior to that?
Listen as Bill and Annette share more about the relevance and importance of the Old Testament.

A Fasting And Financial Miracle (00:08:28)
If you find yourself in a desperate financial situation, as I was years ago, this will give you hope. This story will fill your heart with faith to believe that God wants to rescue you, and encourage you to remember that He is faithful to perform His word.
Years ago, I was reading my Bible as I do each day. The Holy Spirit highlighted a verse of scripture to me. It brought me understanding and direction when I desperately needed it.
The verse was Psalms 119:130 which says, "The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple."
Listen as Bill shares more about how he received a financial miracle by listening, and obeying God.

Is Capitol Punishment Biblical? (00:14:21)
Because of the heinous crime committed against Charlie Kirk, cold blooded murder, many people are divided on whether his murderer should receive the death penalty. Utah is a state that upholds capital punishment for certain crimes. According to God, there are actually two reasons for the death penalty
The first reason is because man is God’s highest creation, and we are an image bearer of God (Genesis 1:26). To murder a person, who is made in the image of God, is in essence to slap God in the face, dishonor, and sin directly against God.
Listen as Bill and Annette provide biblical insight in regard to capitol punishment and what God has said in His word.

Where Darkness Resides (00:15:10)
There is an interesting verse in the Old Testament that lets us know what darkness entails. There are dark places on the earth that attract evil and sin such as dimly lit nightclubs, dark alley ways, underground tunnels and caves torturing hostages, and criminals commit more acts of violence at night.
In other words, many physically dark places are full of the habitations of ruthlessness, violence, cruel hatred, and destruction.
These regions on the earth usually attract evil, and hell is one of those dark places.
Listen as Bill and Annette discuss how darkness often relates to sin and violence...and hell.

Has The Church Replaced Israel? (00:13:45)
In recent years, the rise of antisemitism has been evident worldwide. Individuals at university campuses, in church pulpits, media influencers and world leaders have all condemned Israel for defending her borders and fighting with enemies who constantly attack and surround them. Hatred and condemnation towards Israel’s government, the nation, or Jews in general, has escalated. We know that no nation or government is blameless, nor do we have to agree with every action taken, but staying on God’s side of this very important issue is critical for the Christian.

Cast Into The Fire (00:16:28)
No one likes to think about the time of their death, and that’s understandable. Our lives are short, and we should enjoy and cherish life to the fullest. However, what we should consider is where are we going after we die? Most people fear death, but what they should fear is the Judgment.
Christians should be ready to face Jesus, give an account for our life, and not fear death. Are you really ready to face your Creator and step into eternity?
Listen as Bill and Annette discuss the importance of knowing the brevity of life and where we will spend eternity.
