- Ep 25: Victory Lap (01:02:01)
And we're back! This episode was recorded last year, but...life happens, lol. In this episode, we're taking on the technical debut album from the late and great Nipsey Hussle, "Victory Lap". There are a lot ways to approach this body of work, but we're taking it head on. Did it live up to the large hype that it was released with? At the time, Nip had put out several successful mixtapes. How did the added pressure of this project being an "album" affect the end product? We share opinions on all of these questions and more in this one. Come hang out with us.
- Ep 24: Discovery (00:56:16)
This week on the 3DC, the boys are reviewing Deondre's pick; the classic album from 2001, Discovery by Daft Punk. This album caught each of the boys at a different time in their lives, but we all understand how legendary this project is. Come hang out with us as we go on this journey (and learn which of us actively loves when the sun sets at 4:30pm). P.S.: Deondre had some technical difficulties during this recording session, so please excuse his horrific sound quality.
- Ep 23: Infiltrate•Destroy•Rebuild (01:00:40)
FINALLY the boys are back and newly married (for some of us). We're so excited to be bringing y'all the art again this week with a review of "Infiltrate-Destroy-Rebuild" by CKY. This album represents an interesting period of middle and high school for some of us, a time full of Jackass and Tony Hawk Underground. Come hang out with us to figure out how we felt about Closson's pick; plus a fun little recap of Deondre's wedding.
- Ep 22: The Stranger (01:01:28)
This week we go over Billy Joel's The Stranger.
- EP 21: Maps (00:58:45)
We tried something new for this one. On this episode, we're reviewing the album "maps" by billy woods, an album that none of the 3 of us heard prior to preparing for this episode. The result was fireworks; two radically different opinions that somehow resulted in some of the best discussions we've had about music. Also obviously it's fucking hilarious. Check out this episode to see whose bussy is dried is out because of this album. New 3DC, out now.
- Ep 20: Plans (00:59:43)
This week, we're covering the 2005 ultimate sadboy project from Death Cab for Cutie, "Plans". This album birthed the now infamous track "I Will Follow You into the Dark", which all 3 of the boys agree has been overplayed into the ground. Come thru to learn if we think this song is actually good? Also, who among us is too grown to appreciate this album? And which of us has played this song at a coffee shop? All questions are answered on this episode of 3DC.
- Ep 19: Pet City (00:58:17)
This week, we're tackling one of the more unique albums that we've ever reviewed; "Pet City" by EEEKS. EEEKS is a Paraguayan fusion-rock band that calls back to an earlier time in music and elicits some interesting responses from the boys. Check out this week's episode to learn what we think of it and which one of us would have the most interesting DJ Set.
- Ep 18: Good Faith (00:59:01)
The 3DC boys venture into EDM for the very time time this week with Deondre's pick, "Good Faith" by Madeon. Fair warning, we have some strong and differing opinions on this project. In fact, one of the boys rates this album lower than any album on the pod has been rated before. Come hang out with us for this episode to find out who. Also, was Anthony or Deondre' correct on how to pronounce "Halsey"? Vote in the comments below! Next Episode's Album is Pet City by EEEKS
- Ep 17: Comin' from Where I'm From (00:59:14)
We're up again with back-to-back R&B albums from the 2000s! This week, we're reviewing Closson's pick, "Comin' From Where I'm From" by Anthony Hamilton and getting into how this album differs from "Voodoo". Come hang out with us and hear about some of the wild subject matters that Anthony Hamilton sings about, while also learning about the first albums that Deondre' bought with his own money! Also, which one of us do you think is a huge Digimon fan? Tune in to find out. PS: We apologize for the drop in audio quality this week! There were some technical difficulties but we appreciate y'all hanging on with us ♡
- Ep 16: Voodoo (01:01:18)
The boys are getting sexy this week as they review Antonio's album pick, D'Angelo's 2000 album "Voodoo". This is an R&B classic that only some of us were familiar with, but all of us were pretty awed by. Check out this episode to learn which of three of us is a self-identified "sex symbol" and which zodiac season is the sexiness. Drop your guesses in comments before you listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc_mUXWse_k
- Ep 1 5: Farm to Table (00:53:31)
The boys are fresh off a wedding this week (shoutout Alex and Brittany)and ready to pod. This week, for Deondre's pick, the boys are reviewing Bartees Strange's (insert insta handle here) newest album, "Farm To Table". Bartees is an artist that the other two guys were pretty unfamiliar with, but were pleasantly surprised by. Check out this episode for a mostly civil discussion on Farm to Table and whether the phrase is "hard out" or "hard stop". Leave a comment to let us know which one you say/have heard before. Also, which one of us is a secret Kodak Black fan??
- Ep 14: Hejira (01:01:33)
This episode has the boys on a weird journey. We started out with the album review, but then Closson drops a bomb. Look, Joni Mitchell did blackface. Come along with us for this wild journey of Hejira, by Joni Mitchell, and listen to two of us learning in real time how absolutely ridiculous Joni Mitchell is while simultaneously giving a (mostly) glowing review of the album. Also, does Snapple still have clout?
- Ep 13: Pilot Talk (01:01:16)
We've spent so much time talking about the mixtape era on 3DC, and now we're finally in it. While Curren$y's project "Pilot Talk" is a full album (not a mixtape), it is certainly a product of the 2010 mixtape focused landscape. Check this episode out for a deep dive on how the internet completely changed the way hip hop was produced and consumed, but also a deep dive on the best gas stations to get horchata from. Stick around till the end of the episode to hear our new segment, where each of the boys share one song from their "On Repeat" playlist on Spotify. Joni Mitchell's Hejira https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMynaxX_I0z8BkMDdfQ-X73RfDW2UPTww
- Ep 12: 22, A Million (01:00:51)
This week, 3DC is taking on Deondre's #1 album of 2016, @boniver 's "22, A Million". Straight out of the gate it's pretty clear that the boys opinions vary pretty widely on this project. Will this episode end with another broken heart? Will Closson absolutely hate or absolutely love the saxophone? Will 3DC ever get back to reviewing hip hop? You gotta tune in to find out.
- Ep 11: Silent Alarm (00:44:23)
This week, we're tackling Closson's pick, Bloc Party's Silent Alarm. This is another 2005 banger, but in a very different way than the Mariah album from last week. Check out our episode this week to hear the boys test out their british rock chops and to learn who among us has "never heard an Ariana Grande or a Beatles song".
- Ep 10: The Emancipation of Mimi (00:54:25)
It's not often that you get to listen to 3 men become more and more amazed in real time, but in the episode of 3DC, that's exactly what you get. We were all pretty excited with Antonio's chose Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi" for us to review this, but none of us had any idea that we would be learning over the course of this episode that 2005 was the best year for music ever. If you want to learn why, you've got to check this one out. The boys are in rare form and are having fun this week, come hang with us.
- Ep 9: A Sailor's Guide to the Earth (00:44:09)
The 3DC boys are so excited to be back in 2023. Our first episode of the year is starting y'all off with a bang! Deondre's pick, Sturgill Simpson's "A Sailor's Guide to the Earth", was well received by one of us and really not well received by the other. You're gonna have to check out the episode to find out who, though.

Check out this episode to see if the other boys dash his dreams or become full-fledged 75 heads themselves. Also, is The 1975 the new Radiohead?
- Ep 5: Stranger in the Alps (00:48:00)
This week, the boys are getting sad together with Phoebe Bridgers to her debut album, Strangers in the Alps. In this episode you'll hear why each of the boys resonates with different parts of this project AND you'll hear Taylor Swift catch some strays. Most importantly, Antonio hits us with his very first on-air astrology breakdown...whether you like it or not.
- Ep 4: Sam's Town (00:44:00)
In this episode the boys are tackling one of Antonio's favorite albums ever, Sam's Town. Most people remember this album for When You Were Young and only that, but we deep dive into the other hits on this album and why The Killers aren't still popular. Also, Antonio expresses his deep hatred for Raeford, NC and desperately tries to work out why The Killers fell off.
- Ep 3: Call Me If You Get Lost (00:56:33)
The boys have their toes out this week as they discuss CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, Tyler the Creator's 2021 album. All of us were fairly familiar with this album, so this episode includes a deep dive into Odd Future's history and the mixtape era of hip hop. Listen to the end to find out which of us approves of dirty macking and which one of doesn't want to free Gunna.
- Ep 2: 1999 (00:49:38)
The boys are getting a little sexy on episode 2, because this week we're covering Prince's 1999, as chosen by Closson. For the other two of us, this was a deeper dive then we'd ever taken into Prince's discography, past the more well known hits like "Purple Rain". On this episode we talk about our ability to listen to long songs, Prince's manic musical genius, and how one man could be so horny.
- Ep 1: Acid Rap (00:57:07)
It's finally here! Deondre', Antonio, and Closson are officially bringing you 3 Disc Changer, a podcast where three friends take a deep dive into an iconic album each week. This week we're coming out hot with Chance the Rapper's Acid Rap, a mixtape that all 3 of us wore out in college. Needless to say, a lot of our opinions on this project have changed, some for the better and definitely some for the worse. Listen into this episode for our takes on where this mixtape shines and where it falters...and for petty argument #1.
