  6. Previewing the 'important' third preseason game (00:44:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon are joined by Brian's friend Spenser to talk about the Panthers preseason tilt against the Patriots. You may know Spenser from last year's Panthers vs. Patriots preview, as he joined us to correctly tell us that we were dumb for thinking the Panthers weren't going to beat the Patriots in Foxboro. There are no game predictions this time, but we did talk about which Patriots players are worth watching and how this Patriots team is different from those of years past. Of course that's interspersed with talk about what's expected of the Panthers with their patchwork offensive line and young defensive backfield.  Check out Complete in Box to see Spenser's video game store and podcast he plugged at the end of the episode.

  7. Reviewing preseason week one and previewing preseason week two (00:49:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon talk about their impressions from the Panthersfirst week of preseason action. They share their most and least impressive players and Jon gets a chance to expand on his wildly unpopular Curtis Samuel take. They discuss if there was any discernible difference between the Panthers first team under Norv Turner compared to the Mike Shula era, how similar the defense will look under Ron Washington compared to Steve Wilkes, and how they expect different young players to be utilized. They also talk about the Josh Allen Experience before talking about DVOA and other fun stats from the past.

  8. Kelvin Benjamin is Amini and previewing the preseason (00:42:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon discuss the Panthers upcoming preseason game against the Bills. They talk  players to watch, what they want to see, and expectations for the coming season. They touch on the injuries suffered by Ross Cockrell, Daryl Williams, and Amini Silatolu and whether or not they think the team has plans in place to replace all of them. And of course, we'd be remiss to not talk about Kelvin Benjamin's comments regarding Cam Newton.

  9. Draft review part deux with the Falcoholic (01:07:00)

You got takes about the Panthers draft on the last show. This show is for takes about the rest of the NFL and the NFC South in particular. Falcaholic writers Jeanna and DW share their opinions on Matt Ryan's new mega contract and their reactions to the Falcons draft. They share optimism over the Calvin Ridley pick while Brad and Jon voice concerns. The show then pivots to laughing at the Saints for trading up to select a raw defensive end that some thought was a day 2 pick. We talk about the Buccaneers questionable decision to pass up the chance to improve their horrible pass defense in favor of drafting a space eating nose tackle.  Bonus discussions include the Patriots playing into the Twitter jokes, Brian falling asleep at the wheel, and the Falcons Brenton Bersin.

  10. Draft Recap Bonanza (01:04:00)

Brad, Brian, and Jon go pick by pick, breaking down each of the Carolina Panthers selections in the 2018 NFL Draft. They share their thoughts on each selection and how they think each player will affect the construction of the team. Brad spends the entire show trying to figure out the difference between Louisville and Maryland, and Jon's cat Toby makes a couple of cameo appearances.

  11. Early free agency review (00:54:00)

Note: This was recorded Wednesday night, so there is no talk about the Dontari Poe signing.  Brian, Brad, and Jon discuss all the early goings on in NFL free agency and the surprising amount of Panthers activity taking place. They cover the departures of Andrew Norwell, Star Lotulelei, and Jonathan Stewart, whether or not they think they are worth the contracts they received, and it they would have liked to see the Panthers retain any of them at those prices. They also talk about the Bashaud Breeland and Julius Peppers siginings, the Torrey Smith trade, what available free agents they'd still like to see the Panthers pursue, and why the Carolina Panthers are your Super Bowl LIII champions.

  12. We're back, and we have a lot to talk about (01:11:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon discuss the new(?) Marty Hurney's approach to team building. They discuss their opinions on the cutting of veterans Jonathan Stewart, Kurt Coleman, and Charles Johnson. The guys debate if the Panthers should go out of their way to replace Jonathan Stewart or just roll with what they've got. There's also a conversation about potential free agent wide receiver acquisitions and how they fit with the Panthers. The show ends with some talk about Mel Kiper not being very good at his job. And of course, it wouldn't be an episode without some kicker talk thrown in there.  (Outro song credit: One More Time by I Prevail)

  13. The Panthers have a new defensive coordinator and we need your help (00:37:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon touch on the small snippets of news happening in Panthers world, namely the departure of Steve Wilks to take over the Cardinals head coaching job and Eric Washington stepping in to replace him. The guys also discuss recent comments made by new offensive coordinator Norv Turner and whether or not his words are starting to ease their concerns. Jon talks about his article on the irrelevance of the run game and Brad recaps his interview with Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel. The guys also tackle a couple of hot in the streets Internet debate and turn to the CSR community for help on topics to discuss.  The 4th and Short suggestion box is open. Tell us what we should talk about.  (Outro song credit: Pressure by Skindred)

  14. Reviewing the Saints loss and the Offensive Coordinator madness (00:49:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon provide their final game review of the season, touching on what went wrong and what went right against the Saints. They also discuss the firing of Mike Shula and their opinions on Norv Turner likely getting the job and bringing his entire family along with him. Jon also throws out some interesting numbers in a preview of a big piece he has coming out later this month or whenever he gets done with it. Brian and Brad share their plans for the site and the podcast in the coming months as we head into the offseason.  Thanks for listening! (Outro song credit: In the End by Black Veil Brides)

  15. Talking more football with Jeanna Thomas (00:55:00)

Jeanna Thomas from the Falcoholic and SB Nation rejoins the usual crew of Brian, Brad, and Jon to talk about the Falcons 22-10 win over the Panthers on New Years Eve, among a great assortment of other things. Topics of discussion also include protein shakes, which coaches you'd least like to fist fight, the Panthers being bad, the Falcons being less bad, Panthers vs. Saints talk, Mike Smith being a nice guy, and probably some other stuff.  (Outro song credit: Highway Tune by Greta Van Vleet)

  16. Jeanna from the Falcoholic joins us for Panthers/Falcons pt. 2 (01:12:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon are joined once again by Jeanna Thomas from the Falcoholic and SB Nation to talk Panthers vs. Falcons. The guys spend a few brief minutes sharing their takeaways from the Panthers roller coaster win versus the Bucs before Jeanna recaps the Falcons poop-tastic loss to the Saints. They also discuss the two teams' biggest weaknesses down the stretch, and Jeanna shares her extreme pessimism for the Falcons both this week and moving forward into the playoffs.  (Outro song credit: Lies of the Beautiful People by Sixx:A.M.)

  17. Overconfidently previewing the Bucs game (00:45:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon sit down for a quick preview of the upcoming match-up between the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They discuss the Bucs' laundry list of injuries, what their expectations are for each side of the ball, score predictions with the usual dose of Brian pessimism, and bold predictions.  Happy Holidays! (Outro song: We Wish You a Merry Christmas by Relient K)

  18. The Panthers won and a lot of other stuff happened (00:56:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon do a podcast! Brad didn't get to pay much attention to the game, so Brian and Jon do most of the recapping of the Panthers victory over the Packers and somehow get into a discussion about what a catch is. After that, they discuss Thomas Davis' hit on Davantae Adams, the Twitter reactions to it, and how bad the NFL's two game suspension was. They also discuss the list of Panthers Pro Bowlers and who they think were the biggest snubs. The show wraps up with the biggest news from the weekend, Jerry Richardon's announcement of the future sale of the team. The guys share their takes on the matter and what they hope/expect to see from new ownership.  (Outro song credit: Unity by Shinedown)

  19. Better Brian joins us to talk Panthers vs. Packers (01:00:00)

Regular Brian, Brad, and Jon are joined by another, better Brian from Pack to the Future. They discuss Aaron Rodgers health, the difference between he and Brett Hundley, the Packers play calling, the state of the Packers backfield and wide receiver corps, and their defense. We learn that there are tons of similarities between the Packers defense and the Panthers offense, with Better Brian making a "blind people playing chess" analogy. All of the guys give their score predictions, including Brad's wild 100 point affair and the likelihood that the teams just take turns kicking field goals all game. It's a good one.  Check out Pack to the Future's site for how the Packers side is approaching this game.  (Outro song credit: Open Eyes by Conditions)

  20. The Panthers did exactly what we said they'd do (01:00:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon recap the Panthers win over the Minnesota Vikings. They give their optimistic seal of approval to players on both sides of the ball and try to group think of a person to give the pessimistic label to. They also review the Panthers game plan and coaching approach to Sunday's game. The episode wraps up with some playoff picture breakdowns and very relevant discussions about broadcast teams and the like.  (Outro song credit: This is the House That Doubt Built by A Day to Remember)

  21. The Panthers were bad against the Saints again (00:59:00)

Brian is out for the episode, so Jonathan takes over as host and runs a two person show with Brad. The two share their thoughts on the Panthers loss to the Saints in New Orleans. Topics of discussion include optimistic/pessimistic reviews from both sides of the ball, a Shula/Rivera review, and general takeaways from the game. They also preview Carolina's upcoming match-up with Minnesota Vikings. They talk about what scares them most about this Vikings team, what the Panthers need to do to win, and final score predictions. There's also a discussion about ESPN's old "Jacked Up" segment and how poorly it's aged.  (Outro song credit: Trigger by Deaf Havana)

  22. Previewing the Panthers upset of the Saints...maybe (01:00:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon come to you with all the takes you wanted and needed to hear. Most of the podcast is about the Panthers upcoming visit to New Orleans to take on the Saints. The guys talk about their biggest concerns on both sides of the ball, what they think the Panthers need to do to beat the Saints, and final score predictions. Sprinkled in for your listening pleasure are takes on the general media and public's inability to separate quarterback performance from team performance, the Aqib Talib/Michael Crabtree incident, and Hot Pockets and microwaves. (Outro song credit: Afterlife by Avenged Sevnfold)

  23. The Panthers allegedly beat the Jets (01:01:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jonathan take to the podcast to discuss the Panthers rather unattractive victory over the Jets. They discuss the state of the NFC and the playoff race, the joys of watching Josh McCown play quarterback, the viability of Jonathan Stewart as a runner, and a magnificent rant from Brad directed at Ed Dickson. As is now the theme for these Tuesday shows, the guys also give their Shula review and their MMO style optimistic and pessimistic ranks.  (Outro song credit: Do You Really Want It by Nothing More)

  24. Kony Ealy revenge game! (00:36:00)

Brian and Jon sit down for a super quick preview show in which they mostly talk about the Panthers upcoming game with the Jets. Topics of discussion include the solid play Josh McCown, the Panthers vs. the McCowns historically, who to watch out for on the Jets both offensively and defensively, and the return of Greg Olsen to the squad. But most importantly, we talk about Kony Ealy's revenge game and how much of a disadvatange the Panthers will have as a result of Jeremy Cash's presence on the Jets practice squad. After all, he knows all the plays.  (Outro song credit: Antartica by Hands Like Houses)

  25. Bye week season review and ceremonious award ceremony (01:01:00)

Brian, Brad, and Jon discuss the Panthers season through ten weeks. Topics of discussion include a state of the team review, draft grades, best and worst offseason acqusitions, biggest surprises, biggest disappointments, offensive and defensive MVPs, and record predictions for the remainder of the season. There's also a brief discussion on the Panthers only newsworthy item of the week, the Greg Olsen "controversy." Stick around until the end and let the outro get you hyped for the rest of the season.
