It's all coming to a close! Downton Abbey's final season (or "series" if you live across the pond) began airing in the USA this week. I felt the need to deal with it emotionally by launching a limited run, episodic podcast looking at each episode. Join me won't you?

Episode 5 Part 2: Exciting Unions & Exploding Ulcers (00:30:15)

Downton Abbey Themed Murder Mystery (00:41:22)
In which I interview Theresa Noon, founder and owner of There's A Production, a Canadian theater troupe dedicated to being amazing. Theresa discusses her latest creation "Poor Old Edith," a comedic murder mystery done as a satirical reimagining of our favorite fictional universe: Downton Abbey! She discusses the nature of her creative endeavors, how to make Downton even more funny, her penchant for creating plays that allow her to cast herself as her favorite characters, and stumps me with a piece of Downton trivia! Episode 9: Fun finale favorably finishing Fellowes' fantastic feat (00:51:48)
In which we summarize and celebrate the grand finale of Downton! We love the way it ends, spoiler alert...although we have some drama about Mary, some ideas about the Dowager Mysteries series Dwight wants to begin, and the mysterious "Pernicious Anemia," that seems to suddenly disappear. Hmmm.
It's the final episode of Downton, and we are loving every minute! Haddas & Jen join me once again to wrap up the series.
Episode 8: Mary's Betrothed & Mary's a Bitch (00:23:13)
In which I review episode 8, almost the end of Downton as we know it. Yelling at Mary is good to hear, but we are slashing through these like an underbutler cutting his wrists (too soon?). Stay tuned for our big finale episode on Tuesday with Jen Chaney and Hadas!

Episode 7: Charming Doggy Friends & Charbroiled Dead Friends (00:27:14)
In which I review episode 7, where dead buddies of Henry Talbot mess up his chances with Mary (maaaaybe), fake hand injuries put Karson in his place, and Robert gets a new dog. All of this of course paling to the most ultimate of Dowager Countess mic drops....BAM!

Episode 6: Bad Docents & Bratty Daisy (00:33:06)
In which we discuss Daisy's immaturity, Crawley ignorance of their own home, Thomas despair, Tom's winning the lottery of life, Mary facing her fear of cars...WHEW!!! Oh, and perhaps they finally are wrapping up the hospital nonsense....AND in case you missed the theme of this season the times, they are a-changin'...
Like a little street urchin invading Robert's bedroom, Jen Chaney and I describe, detect, and divine the deeper meanings on this ever progressing journey towards the end of Downton.
