Today we will be talking about following Jesus down the path of life. I hope you see that this message is simple, yet profound: Follow the path of Jesus. In a world full of distractions and personal ambition, this lesson today through a poem brings us back to what really matters. Jesus’ path is the only one that leads to true peace, wisdom, and love. 2. 049. The Power of One! (00:04:55)

Our study today is about how one person can make a real difference in this life. In this poem I’ll share my thoughts on just how significant one person can be. Its a bit of a meditation on something we often overlook, and that is the power of one. One second. One seed. One drop. One step. Just one—yet each one holds great meaning when we see it through God’s eyes. In our spiritual walk, one prayer, one decision, one “yes” to Jesus can alter eternity. It’s not about doing everything. It’s abou...

  3. 048. Our Hunger for the Truth! (00:04:26)

Our study today encourages us to be hungry for the truth. What is truth, anyway, and how do we find it? We live in a world full of opinions, half-truths, and outright lies. Social media, news, culture—even some churches—can distort what’s right and wrong. So how do we know what’s really true? And how do we stay hungry for it? Pilate asked Jesus, during the trial of Jesus, “What is truth?” It’s a powerful question—and it still echoes today. The answer? Truth isn’t just an idea or principle—tru...

  4. 047. Hope Through Our Suffering (00:04:31)

Today we will be talking about the reality that we’re not living in the Garden of Eden. We suffer. We see others suffer. We wonder why those things happen and we look for answers. This message is rooted in a powerful truth from Romans 5, verses three through five, which reminds us that “Suffering produces endurance. Endurance produces character. And character produces hope.” We may not understand the “why,” but we can always trust the “Who.” Be sure to share this episode with your social medi...

  5. 046. Tolerance v. Compromise: Standing Firm in Christ (00:04:34)

This message is about Tolerance vs. Compromise – Standing Firm in Christ. This is an important topic for getting along in an age that some are calling a post-Christian era, that is: tolerance versus compromise—especially as it relates to living out our Christian values in a world that often pushes us to “just go along to get along.” A world that calls us callous or bigoted. Tolerance, when rooted in love and truth, is good. It means treating others with respect, even when we disagree wi...

  6. 045. Why Do We Fail When We Know the Truth? (00:04:53)

Today we will be talking about knowing the truth, and failing to follow the truth. This is another of my poems. Thank you for your patience as we work through these deep and inner thoughts from my past and my present. Today’s message is raw, honest, and needed. It asks a question many of us avoid: *Why do we keep failing, even when we know the truth?* We’ve heard the Gospel. We know Jesus is the answer. So why do we live our lives chasing empty things, breaking God’s heart in the process? The...

  7. 044. The Battlefield of the Mind (00:05:11)

There’s a war going on and your mind is where its happening, so let’s take a look at what’s really going on. Every day, there’s a war going on right between your ears. The Bible teaches us that the mind is the primary battleground for the bad things of temptation and sin. Before sin shows up in our actions, it starts in our thoughts. Whatever comes out of our mouth, starts in our mind. Whenever we stray, it starts with a thought. James 1:14–15 (ESV) puts it like this: “But each person is temp...

  8. 043. What is Biblical Competence? (00:05:09)

Today we will be talking about something every believer should aim for—biblical competence. Biblical competence is the ability to rightly understand, apply, and live out God’s Word in every area of life—at work, at home, in our relationships, and in our spiritual walk. It’s not just about head knowledge; it’s about heart transformation and everyday direction. Daily Bible study is like physical training. You don’t get physically strong by going to the gym once a month. The same goes for our so...

  9. 042. How Artificial Intelligence Can Be Used to Deceive Christians (00:09:26)

The Bible warns us plainly in 2 Timothy 3:13, “Evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” That’s exactly what we’re seeing today with AI technology. These tools, while powerful and sometimes helpful, are also being used to spread lies, stir confusion, and even shake the faith of well-meaning Christians. Believers are left confused and divided. Many begin to question the teachings they’ve followed for years. Listen today to see how we discern the tru...

  10. 041. The Heart of True Giving (00:05:07)

Today we will be talking about giving. I can see your expression right now. Good grief, is he going to start asking for money? Nope, I’m not asking for money. This deals with another poem I wrote years ago when it finally began to dawn on me that faith in Christ wasn’t always about following rules. When I wrote this poem, it really hit me to home—it’s a reflection on what it really means to give. Many of us feel generous because we drop some coins in a bucket or send a small donation during t...

  11. 040. Is Satan Real? (00:04:40)

Today we’re tackling a question that many people—inside and outside the church—ask: Is Satan real? And, if so, how do we deal with his temptations? In today’s culture, Satan is often dismissed as a myth or exaggerated folklore. But the Bible is crystal clear: Satan is real, and he is our spiritual enemy. He isn’t some cartoon villain with horns, a red suit, and a pitchfork—he’s a fallen angel with one goal: to destroy anything that belongs to God, including your life, your family, your ...

  12. 039. A Faith that Carries Us (00:03:09)

Once again we will be talking about one of the poems I wrote a long time ago to help remind me of what is important in my life. My faith in God through Jesus Christ as my Lord. These reflections are based on my heartfelt poem about something we all face—fear, pain, and spiritual battles that seem too much to handle. I hope it helps you realize the importance of your faith.

  13. 038. Balancing Our Priorities (00:04:44)

This episode is about one of the most common struggles we all face; one of the tough challenges we all face, and that is: balancing our priorities. In other words, figuring out what is really important verses what takes our time and energy without a real spiritual return on the investment. If you’ve ever felt torn between work, family, finances, and your walk with God, you’re not alone. Life can feel like a juggling act—trying to keep all the balls in the air without letting any of them drop....

  14. 037. Denial and Acceptance (00:03:34)

Today we will be talking about something that’s very personal to me. A bunch of years ago I wrote quite a bit of poetry. Over the years, I’ve let a few people see some of it. I don’t think I’ve shared all of it with but a few folks. Today, and from time to time on this podcast I’d like to share a poem or two with you. Today’s poem is entitled Denial and Acceptance. Sometimes we drift. We ignore God’s path, we stop praying, and we close ourselves off from His presence. Maybe we get angry, dis...

  15. 036. The God of All Comfort (00:04:01)

In this study we’re focusing on a powerful truth found in 2 Corinthians 1:3–4. This passage reminds us of who God is in the middle of our struggles: the “Father of mercies” and the “God of all comfort.” We all go through hard times. Maybe you’re walking through a season of grief, pain, disappointment, or anxiety. But Paul reminds us that God does not leave us alone in those moments. He meets us right there—in the middle of the affliction—and brings comfort.

  16. 035. God Is At Work In You (00:05:36)

Our series continues with biblical truths that impact our everyday lives and help us grow in our walk with the Lord. Our subject today is about a powerful truth: God is at work in you. Let’s think about that. If you’ve ever found it hard to obey God, or maybe you know what to do, but your heart’s just not in it. Maybe you feel dry spiritually, like you're going through the motions. If that sounds familiar, take heart—because this study reminds us of something important: you’re not doing...

  17. 034. The Great Exchange (00:05:31)

Our subject today is something truly life-changing. I call it “the great exchange.” That is, Jesus giving His life so that we could have eternal life. In 2 Corinthians 5:21, the Apostle Paul writes: “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” That’s the gospel in one verse. Jesus, completely sinless, took on our sin so we could take on His righteousness. That’s the heart of Christianity—an exchange so deep and so generous, it’s hard...

  18. 033. Living Out Our Faith (00:06:34)

Today we’re talking about something vital to the Christian life: *faith in action*. In other words, not just believing—but living out that belief in real, everyday ways. James 2:17, says: “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” That’s a bold statement. What James is saying here is that real faith doesn’t just sit still—it moves. It acts. It loves. It obeys. We’re not talking about earning our salvation—that’s a gift from God. But genuine faith produces a life that shows...

  19. 032. Does Your Life Really Matter (00:06:53)

Today we’re tackling a big question: Does your life really matter? Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” You’ve probably had moments in life where you’ve asked yourself, “Do I really matter?” With so many people in the world, it’s easy to feel like just another face in the crowd. But Scripture tells a different story. God didn’t create you by accident. You’re here f...

  20. 031. Speaking Life Into Others (00:05:53)

In this episode we’re looking at how we speak life into others—through what we say, how we say it, and when we choose to speak. Good words bring healing and encouragement to others. Words really do carry weight. They can lift people up—or they can tear them down. In a world full of criticism, sarcasm, and negativity, God calls us to be different—to speak life. Please share this episode with your friends on social media, and be sure to follow me—Albert M. McCaig—on your favorite podcast platfo...

  21. 030. Honoring God Through Biblical Principles (00:06:40)

Today we’re talking about honoring God through faithful obedience—what it looks like to live with submission to His will and to respect the order He’s designed for the world around us. This starts with a simple truth: obedience matters. As believers, obedience isn’t just about following the rules—that’s just legalism--it’s about showing respect for others and ultimately showing love and trust toward God. Please share this episode with your friends on social media, and be sure to follow ...

  22. 027. Finding Fulfillment in Christ (00:06:23)

Fulfillment Comes from Walking in God’s Purpose. Feeling unfulfilled often stems from placing our purpose in the wrong things—success, approval, routine, or even good works. But Scripture teaches that our true purpose is found in knowing and glorifying God. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 10:31: “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

  23. 028. Accepting Personal Responsibility (00:06:50)

Personal responsibility is one of the cornerstones of a fulfilling and successful life. It empowers us to take control of our actions, choices, and outcomes. When we embrace personal responsibility, we acknowledge that we are accountable for the consequences of our decisions, whether positive or negative. This sense of accountability creates a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous self-improvement. More importantly, it aligns us with the biblical call to live wisely, walk in integr...

  24. 026. Walking by Faith (00:03:10)

As Christians, we are to earnestly seek God. In doing so, we are to live and walk by faith. Not only that, we must also consciously exercise our faith. Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 that “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’”

  25. 025. Learning to do hard things (00:04:56)

Life is full of challenges, and as followers of Christ, we’re called not to avoid difficulties but to embrace them with faith and perseverance. The Bible teaches us that growth, character, and maturity come through trials and effort. Learning to do hard things is essential for our spiritual walk, as it deepens our reliance on God and shapes us into the people He desires us to be.
