Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, has been the focus of mythology, astronomy, astrology and esoteric arts in many cultures for millenia. In the southern hemisphere, it was connected with the arrival of winter and was used for navigation. In the Mediterranean region, it signaled the arrival of the hottest days of summer, and was connected to goddess Isis and the mysteries of death and rebirth. The Maltese temples were aligned to Sirius. But there are also strange stories coming from many tribes around the globe, about having received their knowledge from Sirius directly, through communion with the star beings.
