That electricity generation needs to be cooled and so they use water for that you guessed it a lot of water. Which is a scarce resource in California.     A study from USC’s Keck School of Medicine finds daily vaping among teens has nearly doubled in five years. Researchers say higher nicotine levels and youth-focused packaging are fueling stronger addiction and making it harder for students to quit.

  10. President Trump named in newly released Jeffrey Epstein correspondence (00:02:42)

    Emails released today from Epstein’s estate mention President Trump and include claims he knew about Epstein’s victims. The documents, part of a bipartisan release of more than 20,000 files, are prompting debate over transparency, accountability, and how the public interprets the revelations.

  14. Supreme Court Rejects Kim Davis Appeal (00:04:20)

    This morning, the Supreme Court without comment, declined to consider a petition from Kim Davis, a former county clerk in Kentucky who had refused on religious grounds to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Davis was briefly jailed in 2015 for contempt of court after ignoring an order to issue the licenses. She has since been ordered to pay more than $350,000 in damages and attorney’s fees. Today's decision by the Supreme Court not to hear the case, which is known as Obergefell v. Hodges... keeps the lower-court financial judgments and precedent in place.Robert Bradley Sears is an Associate Dean for Public Interest Programs at UCLA School of Law. He's written on on civil rights, LGBT legal issues and public policy, and has testified before Congress. He spoke with Annenberg's Naaji Joseph.
