1st place in the ASMAC 2024 Van Alexander Arranging competition.
https://asmac.org/2024/09/16/asmac-2024-competition-winners/
From Ennis Harris about the arrangement:
I arranged "The Lake" from Ellington's "The River Suite" with one question in mind. What if Ellington were instead from Buenos Aires, played the Bandoneon, and happened to be named "Duke" Ellington-Piazzolla?
Both Ellington and Piazzolla were dreamers and boundary-breakers. This is my homage to the two titans.
