The Winter Solstice is a pivotal solar term in the Chinese lunar calendar, marking the longest night of the year. After this day, the Northern Hemisphere enters its coldest phase, with temperatures gradually dropping. Simultaneously, daylight hours begin to lengthen while nights slowly shorten.
🧘Melamanos is a DJ from Minsk, Belarus. This man is ready to sell his soul for soulful music. His tastes cover a large scale from multicultural electronica to romantic tech. A firm chillrave promoter, committed to slow dancing and meditative trances. He has been addicted to downtempo, ethnic, midtempo, organic, ketapop, tribal, folktronica, chillrave from 2018. Beautiful melodies and grooves roam freely within the solar term's cadence, as global downtempo pioneers reinterpret the awakening energy through electronic pulses.
Icy synthesizers and rhythms born of deep night draw back the frost silk curtain. Ancient Eastern spirits intertwine with tribal echoes, just like Dunhuang whirlwinds lifting African savanna sands. Electronic mist dissolves boundaries between the real world and energy world. Neons of cyber metropolis bleed into whispered holographic geisha, overlapping with forest sprites dancing around primal fires. Warm final notes ascend with the sun to daybreak's threshold, darkness torn by pulse-illumined gilded fissures.
This compilation converges 23 sound alchemists from Germany, Ukraine, France, India, Mexico, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Sweden, Italy, China, USA, and Spain. It’s an electronic offering to nature, yet also a gentle awakening tap to modern consciousness.
