  6. Clandestino 174 - Pamcy (01:11:05)

Manila-based DJ and producer Pamcy has been making waves in the international music scene with her latest EP, ’Sauce Isle’, which is inspired by the sauces of different cuisines across Asia. She’s added some extremely vibrant flavour to the series this week with a house mix packed full of upbeat summery bangers. Featuring tracks from Lay-Far, Ryuta Muramatsu and Lovebirds, this is a mix that’ll leave you daydreaming about dancing into the early hours of the morning on warm Filipino coastlines. Prior to her incredible recent release through Jun Kamoda’s Jun Records we were overjoyed to hear Pamcy’s 2019 LP, 'BINIBINI' (the title is an old Filipino honorific term for women). In making the album, Pamcy drew inspiration from the everyday experiences, concepts, and objects that have shaped her identity and, on a larger scale, are cultural artefacts of femininity. Speaking in a recent interview with Mixmag, she explained: “Celebrating my identity as a Filipina is not something I deliberately try to do all the time, but I think all of my projects have that in common because everything that I make is rooted in my own reality and identity”. We’ll be waiting with eager anticipation for more sensational material from Pamcy in the future. @pamcy https://pamcy.bandcamp.com https://www.instagram.com/pamcy.mp3/

For years championing underground house, techno and electro on Manchester's gay clubbing circuit to middling returns, it was not until 2016 following succesful slots at Block9 and NYC Downlow at that year's Glastonbury that Wes started to get serious attention, gaining fans such as Hannah Holland and Prosumer who invited him to play at Panorama Bar and for Boiler Room. 24. PREMIERE: Of Norway - Normal Eyes [Beatservice Records] (00:06:57)

The Prima Norsk Compilation is back with volume 5. Celebrating all things about Norwegian House scene, which is still very much on the front foot with help from 25 years of service from Beatservice Records. With no less than 14 tracks on this compilation, you'll be spoilt for choice. We've been listening to the strong 4x4 kick and shuffling percussion from Of Norway's 'Normal Eyes'. The party is certainly in the back room with this track. A warehouse bass line reminiscent of early Warp records takes the lead. With fluttering arpeggios eager to follow chasing up and down scales. In the break things go all wigged out, momentarily sidelined. Though you are back in the room when that driving bass kicks in with arpeggios in tow... eyes front, dancing till the early morn.
