On January 31, 2019, Libby Squire, a 21-year-old university student, disappeared following a night out with friends in Kingston upon Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Libby was abducted, raped, and murdered by a sexual predator. Her killer, Pawel Relowicz, was later convicted of her rape and murder, and was charged with additional voyeurism, outraging public decency and burglary offences.
Laura is joined by Lisa Squire, Libby’s mother, who bravely shares her family’s story and the devastating impact of her daughter’s murder, and the lifelong trauma families endure when systems fail to prevent violence.

Ep 293: The Murders of Laura Mortimer, Ella Dalby and Libby Squire with Jodie Edith and Lisa Squire Part 1 (01:08:09)
On 28 May 2018, Laura Mortimer and her 11-year-old daughter, Ella Dalby were found in a pool of blood at their house in Gloucester. Laura had 18 separate stab wounds, whilst Ella had 24. Laura clearly fought for her life and Ella witnessed some of the attack and bravely came to the help of her mother. Christopher Boon, a man with a history of violence, was arrested for their murders.
In this exclusives episode Laura is joined by Jodie Edith, Laura’s sister and Ella’s aunt, to speak out for the first time about events leading up to the horrific double murders. Together they identify the red flags, early warning signs and how women can be helped by family and friends who know what to look for.
Laura also begins unravelling the murder of 21-year-old Libby Squire, Lisa’s daughter, who disappeared following a night out with friends on 31 January 2019 in Kingston upon Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Laura was interviewed in the media at the time about Libby’s case.

In this episode Natalie Queiroz, MBE joins Laura for an important and emotional update. Natalie shares the latest development in her case - that Raja’s open-prison status has been revoked -for now- and they dive deep into the tireless campaign Laura and Natalie are working on to stop domestic abusers and stalkers from being eligible for early open-prison transfer.
The change in Raja’s status is a critical step forward, but as Natalie and Laura discuss, the relief is short-lived. The system’s lack of clarity, inconsistent assessments, and ongoing failures leave victims trapped in cycles of anxiety, retraumatisation, and fear.
Together, they explore the emotional and psychological toll of a system that overlooks intent to murder, and the continued danger of coercive controllers, why domestic abusers, coercive controllers and stalkers must be exempt from early open-prison transfer, along with the urgent need for specialised training for offender managers and probation officers and implications for victims’ safety, justice, and reform.

Laura sits down with Nancy Schwartzman, director of the Hulu docuseries, Death in Apartment 603: What Happened to Ellen Greenberg and homicide cold case investigator Sarah Cailean to discuss the new review undertaken by Chief Medical Examiner Dr Lindsay Simon. The 32-page report was completed on October 10 2025 and concluded Ellen’s case should remain classified as a suicide, despite documenting 20 bruises on Ellen’s body in addition to the 11 noted in the original autopsy and a further 3 stab wounds taking the total to 23, including 10 to the back of her head and neck.

The conversation dives deep into the making of this significant docuseries, exploring not just the process but also the reasons why this case holds personal importance for Nancy. The interview reveals new insights and revelations, particularly about Ellen’s relationship with her fiancé, Samuel Goldberg, and indicators that Ellen may have been planning to leave the relationship.
Laura and Nancy discuss information found in the police case file, as well as Laura’s own crime scene analysis after reviewing the crime scene photos and video of Apartment 603. Amy Lee Wensley died on 26 June 2014 at her home as a result of a shotgun injury to her head. She was 24 years old. She put her two girls in a car after being assaulted by her ex, David Simmons, went into the house to get something and never came out.
Within minutes, the detectives who attended declared Amy’s death a suicide.
Anna Davey, Amy’s aunt, believed it was murder and has been fighting for justice for 11 years.
