    This is gonna so corny, but here we go: this was one of the most fun shows I've ever did. Playing Amsterdam Dance Event for the first time with this new GIMLI alias, even with my own House of GIMLI hosting, with a huge squad from hometown Tilburg in front of me and the fabulous people of Club Nyx. No crowd of thousands, just a small dark sweaty room full of ravers. Also a big big shoutout to DEBAR, 3kus and Fedya Hella for playing joining and playing huge sets! Here's the recording of the set I played there. Not the neatest mixes and you'll completely miss the vibe of that room on that specific day. The name Gimli is derived from the old Norse word Gimm, meaning fire. And that’s exactly what he’s bringing to the dancefloor; hot disco, fiery feelgood house and steamy grooves.. Starting of with positive and feelgood gospel and disco, moving up the tempo to energetic house and breaky techno and finishing of with trancey tunes and hyperpop-ish bangers. Gimli has a wide experience on stage as he played more than 500 shows in his 10+ years as a DJ.     My first Disco Snolly live recording reached an amazing 10k streams! It's a real honor that you guys like it that much, so I wanted to thank each and everyone of you for this milestone!     Dirk Stolk aka De Manager – The Turnover Episode 36 Deze week hebben wij niemand minder dan De Manager te gast in The Turnover. Zijn gevoel voor ritme ontwikkelde hij 10 jaar lang als drummer. Inmiddels heeft De Managers al meer dan 400 shows als DJ achter zijn naam staan en stond op festivals als We Are Electric, Amsterdam Dance Event, Solar, Paaspop, Freeride Week (Frankrijk) en Sziget Festival (Hongarije). Daarnaast draaid hij ook regelmatig in club op clubavonden als Disco Snolly, Smerrig en Vroeg Pieken, is hij programmeur van Club Smederij, maakt hij een carnavalspodcast met de naam Kiele Kiele en runt hij zijn eigen agency’s HENG en BOEKTEM. De stijl van De Manager is niet in één genre te plaatsen. Hij draait energieke sets met hiphop, dansbare sets vol house en disco, bouwt een feest in je club en veroorzaakte hij recent nog polonaises tijdens carnaval. De Manager laat je kennis maken met onbekende parels en maakt eigen producties. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan de baile funk edit van ‘Watskeburt’, een eigen versie van Jocelyn Brown’s ‘Somebody Else’s Guy’, zijn eerste eigen release Love Nobody Else en zijn uitgebreide reeks mixtapes.     Het Hiphop Journaal bestaat alweer 2,5 jaar en we gaan eindelijk weer spelen, dus was het tijd voor een nieuwe mixtape.
