So, this is a bit of a special one. Those of you who have heard a good number of my mixes will know that I love to slip in a bit of Speed Garage. I fell in love with it back in '97 and never really fell out of love with it; everything sounds better with a Speedy G bassline underneath, right?!I decided it was time that I had a Speed Garage T-shirt in my life and that is how I met the lovely woman in the artwork here; this is Kate from Kates Customs ( https://katescustoms.co.uk )and that T-shirt she's wearing is one of her own embroidered designs and so I had to buy one! It was getting that Tee that inspired me to make this mix: 90 minutes of full-on Speed Garage, old and new. There are some great Tech House tracks around at the moment so I started there for this mix but there are also some good retro revivals of old bass-driven tracks from back in the day so it gets a bit dirty later on and--just as a special treat--I throw in a couple of quality bassline warpers.
