Today's episode I talk about adaptations and copyright. I discuss things that have fallen into public domain meaning you are free to write your own story about them. I give you some examples of stories that have been adapted from previous stories and are in fact the same exact story. I talked generally about copyright and how long it generally lasts. If you find a story that you really enjoy the characters and you want to write your own story feel free as long as you acknowledge the source material and contact the author for permission. Today I discuss my Rules of Writing #6. I talk about the Navajo Nation objecting to internment of cremated remain on the moon. (No joke). In aviation news, Alaskan Airlines narrowly avoided disaster when a Boeing 737 Max lost part of the fuselage mid-flight, but the pilots were able to safely land the aircraft with no loss of life. Shout out to Kim Mulkey, my cousin, as she and the Lady Tigers Basketball team travel to Ole Miss. Finally, today is Sunday 1/7/24, the last day of regular season games in the NFL.
